Sexuell hälsa och hivprevention

RFSL har arbetat med frågor som rör hiv och sexualitet sedan hivpandemin startade i Sverige 1982. RFSL arbetar med en sexpositiv hivprevention som riktar sig till de grupper som är mest påverkade av hiv och könssjukdomar, vilket bl. a. är män som har sex med män, transpersoner och nyanlända hbtqi-personer.

En viktig del av RFSL:s arbete med hälsa och hivprevention är Sexperterna Chatt. Sexperterna Chatt drivs av RFSL Stockholm på uppdrag av RFSL, med medel från Folkhälsomyndighetens verksamhetsbidrag för hivprevention. Målgrupperna är framför allt transpersoner och män som har sex med män. Sexperterna Chatt finns online på Qruiser, Instagram och Facebook två-tre kvällar i veckan, samt på hemsidan sexperterna.org. Här kan personer från målgrupperna få svar på sina frågor och beställa hem gratis kondomer och glid.

Hiv-testning?

Att testa sig för hiv är gratis och du har rätt att göra det anonymt. Tidigast sex veckor efter misstänkt smittillfälle kan du få ett tillförlitligt svar. När du testar dig för en STI, en sexuellt överförbar infektion, ska vårdpersonalen fråga dig kring din sexuella praktik. Om de inte gör det måste du berätta varifrån du behöver ta prov, penis/vagina/hals/anus.

Är du orolig ska du alltid vända dig till sjukvården för råd. Du kan vända dig till alla hälsocentraler i länet eller till STD-mottagningen på Norrlands universitetssjukhus i Umeå. Du kan även vända dig till ungdomsmottagningen i Umeå, Skellefteå, Vännäs eller Lycksele, läs mer på UMO. Befinner du dig ibland i Stockholm, Göteborg eller Malmö kan du testa dig i hos RFSL. Du har rätt att testa dig för hiv, det ska vara gratis och du har rätt att göra det anonymt!

Sexual health and HIV prevention

RFSL has been working with issues regarding HIV and sexuality since the start of the HIV epidemic in 1982. RFSL works with a sex-positive HIV prevention aimed at the groups most affected by HIV and sexually transmitted infections, which, among others, are men who have sex with men, trans people and newly arrived LGBTQI people.

An important part of RFSL’s work with health and HIV prevention is Sexperterna Chatt. Sexperterna Chatt is run by RFSL Stockholm on behalf of RFSL, funded by the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s operating grant support. The target groups are mainly trans people and men who have sex with men. Sexperterna Chatt is online at Qruiser, Instagram and Facebook two-three nights a week, and on the website sexperterna.org. Here, people from the target groups can ask questions and order free condoms and lube.

HIV-testing?

To test for HIV is free and you have the right to be anonymous. You can get a valid test result six weeks after you suspect being at risk of infection. When you get tested for an STI, sexually transmittable infection, the health care personnel should ask you about your sexual practice but if they don’t you have to tell them how you want the test taken, from anus/penis/vagina/throat in order to get a valid result. You have the right to get tested for HIV, it is free and you have the right to be anonymous if you want.

If you are worried you can contact the health care! You can get tested at any health center in Västerbotten. If you are in Umeå you can get tested at STD-mottagningen. If you are young you can visit a youth clinic in Umeå, Skellefteå, Vännäs, or Lycksele, read more at UMO. When visiting Stockholm, Göteborg, or Malmö you can get a rapid hiv-test at RFSL.
